VOICE FOR BT

Inter Collegiate Public Speaking Contest on Biotechnology entitled “Voice for BT” was organized on September 29, 2016.by world’s leading enzyme producing company Novozymes India in collaboration with the Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE) and Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, Solan, H.P. The event was attended by Mr. Kapil Sharma, Ms. Saumya Arora and Ms. Mahima Rastogi from School of Biosciences, IMS University Courses Campus Ghaziabad. Undergraduate students of biotechnology courses from colleges across the north region spoke passionately on topics such as the role of biotechnology in ‘Biofuel”, ‘Nutrition and Food for all’ and ‘Water conservation’. Mahima Rastogi, student of B.Sc. (H) BT 3rd year had participated and got selected among the top 15 contestant and get an opportunity to spoke on topic “Nutrition and food for all”. She was appreciated with Silver Medallion. The panel of judges to identify the winners for this flagship event was eminent personalities from their respective fields, Divakar Rao, Member, Vision Group on Biotechnology & Karnataka Biofuel Development Board, Dr. Max Methew, R&D, Novozymes and Narayanan Suresh, Editor-in-Chief, BioSpectrum. The judges highly praised the students for their excellent ideas and creativity as represented in their ‘voice for BT’.
